Project Propeller Annual Fly In

AIRBASE is proud to host Project Propeller, the annual charity event where world war 2 aircrew veterans take to the skies and get to meet. AIRBASE is expecting over 100 light aircraft carrying the veterans and will welcome the veterans with tours of over 30 iconic active aircraft.

Ian Burnstock, one of Project Propeller's founders comments: 

‘Project Propeller, the charitable event that enables aircrew veterans of World War 2 to meet, socialize and again get airborne are pleased to be holding its next annual meeting at AIRBASE, Coventry Airport.

Open Cockpit Day and Pleasure Flying.

 

Flights available on the Rapide, Prentice and Chipmunk.

On the 28th of this month, AIRBASE will be holding an open cockpit day. The cockpits of a number of aircraft will be open and accessible to members of the public. These include Meteor T7, Meteor NF11, Anson, DC3, DC6, JP3, JP5. Shackleton, Nimrod plus many more. There will also be pleasure flying on the day and Shackleton WR963 will be carrying out an engine run around 2 pm.
